Warren County Public Transportation continues to have record breaking days of ridership and to help expedite the process, Director of Transportation Morgan Lewis explains a few changes that will begin March 1st:

“We are just going to be curb to curb. We are hoping we can expedite the pick up process a little faster. If you have noticed and looked at the transportation buses as they are driving around lately, they are a little more crowded. That is what our dispatch software is working on and is helping us really get people where they want to go quicker. Then on March 1st as well, we are not going to give courtesy calls anymore, like when we are on our way there. Our number volume is getting too big. When we set up a trip, we will give you a window and you have to be ready fifteen minutes before or after that pick up time and the driver will get there and wait five minutes for you before they move on. Now that does not mean we cannot get you in again, it just means we will have to set up the trip again.”

Additionally, beginning in March, extra trips to Galesburg will be offered with Warren County Public Transportation.
