Local Businesses Continue Growing the Monmouth Community

With retirements and just the general struggle among businesses across the country to fill vacancies, City of Monmouth Mayor Rod Davies reports several local companies are continually investing and growing the local economy:

“We are very fortunate that we have local businesses like Midwestern Pet Foods who is considering investing and growing their facility in Monmouth, adding jobs, making significant capital improvements. Smithfield has invested literally during the time they have owned the plant over $100 million in their facility. Monmouth College in the last 20 years has certainly invested over $100 million in their facilities. I feel very fortunate that there are those tremendous investments in cornerstones in OSF Holy Family with the new emergency room and continued improvements in the clinic. We are fortunate the YMCA has grown, we have added the community pool. There has been a huge investment in our community and I feel that we certainly continue to improve the quality of life and make Monmouth a great place to call home.”
