Edna N. Johnson,89, of Monmouth, IL, passed away Tuesday morning, May 28, 2024 at Oakview Nursing & Rehab, Burlington, IA.

She was born November 30, 1934 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Maurice B. and Edna M. (Doyle) Lee.  She was raised and educated in Little York graduating from Little York High School.

Edna married Dale A. Johnson in Monmouth on July 2, 1960 and he passed away on October 29, 1997.

She worked many years as a secretary for Ed-Co Ag in Monmouth, M & W Ag in Alexis, IL and later Central Feed in Kirkwood, IL.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Raritan and later Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Monmouth.

Edna enjoyed traveling, camping, playing dominos and square dancing, and going to her grandchildren’s many events.

Survivors include her children, Bruce Johnson of Monmouth, Lonnie (Carolyn) Johnson of Monmouth, Angela (Tom) Goble of Burlington, IA and Marcie (Todd) Brissey of West Burlington, IA; 7 grandchildren, Brant, Kirstin, Jalyn, Brooke, Derek, Austin and Camden; 3 great grandchildren, Max, Knox and Ella; her brothers, Lawrence (Doris) Lee of Monmouth and Edward (Cathy) Lee of Little York; her sisters, Linda Libby of Galesburg, and Barbara Rascon of Maryland; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brothers, Robert Lee, Donald Lee and Charles Lee; her sisters, Connie Ledbetter and Martha Hart.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be 1:00 pm, Friday, May 31, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Monmouth.  Interment will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Media, IL.  Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth with a rosary service beginning at 4:30 pm, Thursday.  Memorials may be given to Immaculate Conception Church or the University of Iowa Hospital Cancer Center.  For more information or to leave an online condolence please visit, www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com.
