One person is dead following a car versus semi-truck crash near Monmouth. Illinois State Police said the crash happened around 2:32 pm yesterday in the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 67 near 185th Avenue. Warren County Coroner Al McGuire identified the victim as 44-year-old Dr. Syed Imam, who was pronounced deceased at 2:50 pm yesterday afternoon. Dr. Imam practiced internal medicine and nephrology with OSF HealthCare Saint Francis in Peoria and RenalCare Associates in Macomb. The crash remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police.
