This Wednesday, Seminary Village has teamed up with Representative Dan Swanson to host a Veteran & Senior Fair at The Vault in Galesburg. Megan Brown, manager of Seminary Estates at Seminary Village, shares that this is a great way to not only get more information on the services at Seminary Village but also other area resources as well.
“We’ve got upward of 50 vendors that are going to be there. The Illinois Lions Club will have its hearing and vision bus there for screenings. We’re going to have recycling of all kinds of unwanted electronics that we all have building up in our house,” says Brown. “There will be people there doing blood pressure screens, medication, and prescription disposal from home health care agencies, there’ll be people there from the Veterans Administration answering all kinds of questions and directing people to where they need to go. We will also have giveaways and prizes. It’s just a fun event.”
The Senior and Veteran Fair is a free event taking place at the Vault in Galesburg from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17.
