Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation to increase services; Convenience Clinic to end operations August 29
McDonough District Hospital announced changes at its Monmouth Clinic effective August 29.
The Convenience Clinic in Monmouth is shifting operations to the Macomb clinic, located at the main hospital campus inside Health Services Building 2.
Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation will be expanding its footprint inside the current location at the Monmouth Clinic, still remaining open Monday-Friday. The Convenience Clinic’s last day of operations in Monmouth will be August 29.
“We evaluate operations and efficiency in all our clinics and locations. In Monmouth we looked at volumes and our Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation continues to grow. Our goal is now to increase the amount of available physical therapy appointments and programs offered within our Monmouth Clinic,” said Bill Murdock, MDH President and Chief Executive Officer. “We recently hired additional physical therapists, and we will renovate the clinic to create additional space for patients’ therapy needs.”
Murdock also noted that all of the Monmouth Convenience Clinic employees have the option to transition within the MDH organization.
