The Monmouth-Roseville School Resource Officer program is up and running as another school year in underway. Police Chief Joe Switzer names the officer assigned to that position and his duties:

“Officer Larry Myers is the School Resource Officer. He will be making his way through all the schools within the Monmouth-Roseville School District and the Junior High in Roseville. He is the ambassador to the kids. That is his main purpose, to be that ambassador. He doesn’t deal with discipline issues or anything like that within the schools, anything that the administration or the staff should be handling, he is there to be an ambassador to the kids to have that person, that kid that has something to say or something to tell somebody, they can approach him. Then, he will deal with legal aspects, any law enforcement related things within the school, he will deal with.”
