Traffic flow changes beginning Monday (9/22) Porter Brother’s will start milling & asphalt operations around the square. While this is exciting for the project, it also means the square will be challenging to navigate over the next 1-2 weeks. After several discussions, it was decided the best and safest way to conduct these operations will be to shut down half of the square at a time.

  • Access to the square will be closed on the West side of Main Street.
  • The closures will take place at the 100 blocks of 1st Ave, W. Broadway, & Archer Ave.
  • Operations will start in the NW quadrant and work counterclockwise around the square.
  • As each quadrant is completed the contractor will close the next quadrant down in that rotation.
  • I will send out maps of the closed areas as they progress around the square.

This operation will take time but will make the project look great. Please be patient with everyone and use extreme caution.

These dates are tentative and dependent of weather.
