The Monmouth-Roseville High School Drama Club will present its fall production, the romantic comedy The Philadelphia Story, on Friday, November 14, and Saturday, November 15, at 7:00pm, and Sunday, November 16, at 2:00pm in the M-RHS auditorium.

Perhaps best known as a classic film starring Katherine Hepburn, Cary Grant, and Jimmy Stewart, The Philadelphia Story takes the audience inside the home of the wealthy Lord family on the eve of their daughter Tracy’s second wedding. The arrival of two magazine reporters sends the family into a panic, as does the return of Tracy’s ex-husband Dexter. Soon, Tracy finds herself drawn to one of the reporters as she fights her feelings for Dexter.
The cast includes seniors Drew Carlson (C.K. Dexter Haven), Olivia Rogers (Tracy Lord), and Angel Ruiz (Dr. Parsons); juniors Jersey Cokel (Margaret Lord), Fox Nelson (Mike Connor), and Hannah Neubauer (Sandy Lord); sophomores Eduardo Chavez (Uncle Willie), Fernando Ruiz (Seth Lord), and Cecelia St. George (Dinah Lord); and freshmen Yesari Chavez (Liz Imbrie), Clair Cox (Mrs. Thomas), James Mayfield (Mac), and David Larios Vicente (George Kittredge). The show is directed by M-R English teacher Melissa Agar. Junior Wren Jared is the production’s stage manager.
Tickets for the production cost $10 for adults and $5 for students with ID. Tickets may be purchased at the door. It is asked that students junior high and younger be accompanied by an adult.
The Philadelphia Story is produced through special arrangement with Concord Publishing.
