Members of the Galesburg FFA program recently attended the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, where they gained valuable leadership skills and learned more about community involvement. Logan Yeutson, who has attended the convention all four years of high school, shared that this year the chapter was able to bring representation from its new Junior High program.

“Since we just started our junior high program, bringing the president was a good opportunity. She could learn a lot of leadership roles so she can help lead her junior high officers,” Yeutson says. “They are about to launch as their own program and be on their own. So, I’m hoping that the leadership roles and everything we did there helped her in the ways she needs to guide and direct them and keep them all on track while still being appropriate and within parliamentary procedure.”

The National FFA Convention is one of the largest student gatherings in the country, drawing more than 70,000 attendees each year.
