McDonough County Sheriff Nicholas Petitgout has issued the following update regarding the arrest of Jeremy Lee Sholl, 43, of Galesburg, Illinois.
Over the past several months, McDonough County Sheriff’s Detectives investigated allegations against Jeremy Lee Sholl of Galesburg. Sholl was accused of inappropriately touching, grooming, and molesting juveniles in and outside of his household. During the lengthy investigation, Detectives recovered digital evidence of the crime and conducted numerous interviews of the victims with the help of the Child Advocacy Center.
With the help of the Illinois State Police Zone 4 Investigations and the McDonough County States Attorney’s Office an arrest warrant for Jeremy Lee Sholl was issued, 26-CF-24. The warrant was for the following:
Counts I & VI Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a child
Counts II & V Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse
Counts III & IV Criminal Sexual Assault
The McDonough County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate along with the Illinois State Police Zone 4 Investigations on this matter. The McDonough Sheriff’s Office encourages all victims to come forward, so that justice may be served.
