Last week’s storm affected the local Monmouth community with damage to roofs, trees, vehicles and extended power outages. While some had power restored within hours, others waited days.

The Pattee Foundation is providing an opportunity to the Jamieson Community Center in Monmouth to assist families who need to replace refrigerated food lost during the power outages. The gift will be used to supplement emergency supplies provided by River Bend Food Bank.

Warren County residents who are at 185% of poverty or below and DO NOT receive SNAP benefits, or whose monthly SNAP benefit is less than $75, may be eligible for a Save A Lot gift card to help replace food items lost during the outage. Assistance is limited to one gift card per address, address verification required at time of pick up, while funds last.

To apply call 309-734-4251 or stop by the Monmouth Resource Center, 1120 S. Main, Monmouth. Our pantry is open Monday-Friday from 10 AM – 4 PM.
