Motorists traveling through the intersection of 1st Avenue and South Main Street in Monmouth will soon notice a change in how traffic is being controlled, according to City Administrator Lou Leone:
“On 1st Avenue, one of the things we are looking at doing at the intersection of Main Street and 1st Avenue, right now there is a three light traffic light there, we are looking to actually take that down and just put a single red light blinker. It is aesthetically pleasing as well. The light is a bit faded and it gives us a chance to take it down, refurbish it and use it somewhere else in the system.”
