At the latest Warren County Board meeting, the tentative budget and levy were approved, which presented with an increase in health insurance costs and a deficit in the County General Budget, according to Chairman Mike Pearson:

“Our health insurance has jumped up noticeably, a little over $214 a month per person, just over $1,400 per month. Unfortunately, the County General, as it has been in the last years, is negative. Just over $700,000. We are striving to figure out how to get that to a positive number. Fortunately, our office holders in our circumstances keep that from getting too serious.”

Pearson informs the final budget and levy will be presented and approved at the November Warren County Board meeting.
