Jamieson Community Center Programs See Very Busy Start in the New Year

Share

January and February normally see a slight lull in services provided through Jamieson Community Center; however, Executive Director Nancy Mowen reports that is not the case this year as the Community Marketplace, Senior Nutrition, and the Learning Center continue to see increased visits and enrollments:

“Our Learning Center is full. We have 28 children. Our pantry visits are still way up and seem to increase a little each month, same with Senior Nutrition. We have been able to move some people off the waiting list, but as soon as we move them off the waiting list, we have new calls that come in. It has been a very busy start to the new year.”

As donations continue to be received from the community, Director Mowen shares fresh produce, milk, and low sugar breakfast cereal are the current needs for the Community Marketplace.
