WCHD Administrator Link Says Those Eligible for Illinois Medicaid Now Need to Reapply for Coverage

Share

Automatic renewal enrollment into Medicaid will come to an end in March and those eligible for Medicaid in Illinois will now have to reapply for coverage, explains Warren County Health Department Administrator Jenna Link:

“You should start getting a letter that says you need to complete a renewal application and provide proof of income that you are still eligible for Medicaid. It is really important that if in the last couple of years you have changed your address and you haven’t really notified Medicaid, because that letter will not get to you if you have changed your address. You want to make sure you are watching for those things and you complete that process because if you don’t, then your Medicaid will lapse if you are still eligible.”

Medicaid coverage can be renewed online or locally at the Department of Human Services Office on South Main in Monmouth, the Monmouth Eagle View Clinic, or hospital.
