United Will Honor Class of 2023 at Sunday’s Graduation Ceremony

Last Friday was the final day of high school for the Class of 2023 in the United School district and Superintendent Jeff Whitsitt says members of the class will be heading in all directions next fall:

“We are seeing a little bit more of a push the last few years to go the two year trade school, junior college route as opposed to the traditional four year route that you used to see most of. I think that is a great thing. We have the Sampson Promise out at United and those kids get 61 credit hours at Carl Sandburg College, it is a great opportunity. We have a pretty good ag pipeline. We will have a couple of University of Illinois freshman AGR students, but our pipeline between the University of Illinois, Iowa State, and Oklahoma State, we still take care of those schools.”

Graduation for United’s Class of 2023 will be held on Sunday, May 21st at 3 pm in the Fieldhouse at the High School.
