City of Monmouth Seeking Full-Time Public Service Officers

The City of Monmouth is accepting applications for a full-time Public Service Officer. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and will be subject to a background check, and must be responsible enough to handle confidential information. Requires high school education or equivalent, ability to speak and hear clearly, and knowledge of basic computer skills. Requires the ability to operate effectively under stress.

This position is responsible for animal control and parking violations within the City of Monmouth. Animal Control includes Monmouth city ordinances and Illinois State Statutes that apply to domesticated animals. Training for IL state certification will be provided. Secondary duties include traffic details, public speaking, report writing, delivering paperwork, and several other functions associated with the Police Department.

This is a union position and includes a generous benefit package.
