Ross Parcel has been named the new head coach of the West Central Heat varsity baseball squad. Parcel served as an assistant coach for the Heat this past spring. This will be Parcel’s first varsity baseball head coaching job. In the past, he has been an assistant coach at Winchester West Central and Mendon Unity High Schools. A Hallsville, Missouri-native, Parcel was the head varsity softball coach at Mark Twain High School in Missouri in 2020. He’ll be busy this coming school year, as he will also head up the West Central Heat junior high baseball program this fall and will be an assistant coach on Doug Dennison’s Heat boys basketball team this winter.

Prairie Communications Sports Director Shawn Temple caught up with Parcel on the Friday morning WRAM Morning Show.
