Illinois Upset By Penn State

Unranked Penn State upset number-12 Illinois in a 90-to-89 victory at Rec Hall.  The Illini led by seven with under a minute left in regulation before the Nittany Lions went on an 8-0 run to end the game.  Terrence Shannon Jr. poured in 35 points and added 11 rebounds in the losing effort.  Illinois is still in second place in the Big Ten with a 10-and-5 conference record and a 19-and-7 mark overall.  The Illini host Iowa on Saturday.
