Local Banking Collaboration Excited to Expand on $65,000 Efforts

Back for a seventh tournament, the Banking on a Cure golf outing is set for one o’clock on Friday, June 7th at Gibson Woods in Monmouth. Chairman Jay Grant shares the inspiration behind the event and the local organizations involved:

“Our committee is made up of at least one employee from every single bank in Warren and Henderson County. I have to give some credit to Chris Gavin. Years ago we were talking in his office and he had this idea of getting all the banks together to do this and gave it to me and I started reaching out and here we are. That includes, obviously, Midwest Bank for me, and then Fortress Bank, Security Savings Bank, Community National Bank, the Bank of Stronghurst, Raritan State Bank, Wells Fargo, F&M Bank, and Clock Tower Community Bank down in Roseville. When we started, we wanted it to be a collaboration from all the banks, not just a few of us, so we have made sure that we have got everybody involved.”

Throughout the six previous Banking on a Cure tournaments, $65,000 has been raised, benefiting the Warren-Henderson Relay for Life.
