The month of April marks Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month across the United States. According to The Parkinson’s Foundation nearly 90,000 people in the United States are diagnosed with the disease each year, and nearly one million people in the United States are currently living with Parkinson’s. During this time there will be many fundraisers and awareness campaigns across the country in an effort to raise money for research of the disease. One such fundraiser that will be happening this summer, is the 2nd annual Tom Parrish Memorial Golf Tournament. Marcia Parrish, organizer of the golf tournament has more.

The Tom Parrish Memorial Golf Tournament is set for August 17th at Gibson Woods Golf Course in Monmouth. All proceeds raised will go to funding Parkinson’s Disease research.
