Jamieson Community Center’s Marketplace is Moving

Share

Jamieson Community Center is expanding. Executive Director Nancy Mowen shares they have finalized the purchase of the former Tom and Linda’s Grocery Store at 1120 South Main Street in Monmouth, which will allow JCC to better serve the local community:

“Last Friday, we officially closed on Tom and Linda’s Grocery Store. We purchased the entire property at 1120 South Main and we are moving our Marketplace, food pantry, and the thrift store over there. Then we are also going to add a resource person. We will have a little more space to be able to accommodate that and we will also have enough room to put an office for the resource person that can help people in the community connect to programs that might benefit them and also just to help people grow.”

Additionally, Director Mowen informs a Child Care Director has been hired for the future Child Care Center that will be housed in the former Knights of Columbus Hall.
