United Red Storm Softball Searching for Consistency

Story by Kadin Rogers

The United Red Storm softball team has managed to get in a couple doubleheaders within the past 10 days, including games against really solid competition in Abingdon/Avon, West Central, and Galva. After their recent stretch of tough games, the Red Storm now sit with an overall record of 2-11 as they head in to this upcoming week of competition.

With a little under a month left in the regular season, United head coach Marc McMahon says the mood of his team is still positive, however the team will be looking to clean up mental errors as the Red Storm get closer to IHSA postseason action.

United is currently scheduled to play Annawan/Wethersfield tonight, however potential bad weather in the forecast gives the likely possibility that contest is postponed to a later date.
