Share

As the official start of the summer season is now just 2 weeks away, many high school sports programs are currently reflecting on this past season of athletics. One area program that had a successful spring season was the Monmouth-Roseville boys and girls track and field teams. On the boys side, the Titans track team had good showings in several meets throughout the season, taking 1st as a team at the Monmouth-Roseville Titan invite, 2nd in the Lee Calhoun and Dale Collis invites, as well as placing 4th overall at the Three Rivers Conference championship. As for the Titans girls, they captured a 1st place finish at the Dale Collis Invite, while also sending an athlete on to compete in the state finals thrower Carmyn Huston.

Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show on Thursday morning, boys track coach Kevin Ferry says his team found their groove in the middle part of the season, while girls track coach Don Luper attributes the successful season to the work ethic of all of his runners and throwers.
