Ofelia Garcia de Negrete, 63, of Davenport, IA formerly of Monmouth, Il passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at her home.

Ofelia was born September 10, 1960 in La Magdalena, Guanajuato, Mexico, the daughter of Odilon Garcia Morales and Maria Carmen Garcia Vasquez.

She married Rafael Negrete Nava on December 13, 1980 in Mexico and he survives.

She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Davenport, IA.

Ofelia owned and operated La Finca in Davenport.

Ofelia enjoyed gardening and cherished the time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Rafael Negrete Nava; her daughters, Angelica Negrete and Jessica Negrete both of Davenport; her grandchildren, Aldo, Ansel, Ivan, Maks, Leo, Layla, Alessia and a baby on the way; her mother, Maria Carmen Garcia Vasquez of Davenport and 10 siblings.

She was preceded in death by her father and daughter, Erica Conchas.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Monday, August 5, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Monmouth.  Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Monmouth.  Visitation will be from 1:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory in Monmouth with a Rosary Service beginning at 5:30 p.m.   For more information or to leave an online condolence please visit, www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com.
