United Red Storm Girls Golf Dominant in Fourth Straight LTC Railsplitter Title

The United Red Storm girls golf team has been dominant this entire season. United hosted the annual Lincoln Trail Conference Railsplitter Championship Tournament on Wednesday at their home course of Gibson Woods in Monmouth. The Red Storm was looking for their 4th straight LTC title and left no doubt once again who’s the best squad in the conference, shooting a team score of 346. That total beat the runnerup, Ridgewood, by 40 strokes. Not only did United enjoy team success, but also individually, with six golfers finishing in the top-8.

Winning another conference team title is just one of the goals head coach Ron Grant has for his squad. Last season, the Red Storm girls fell one stroke short of advancing to the class 1A state finals. Here’s United High School Athletic Director Jeremy Sharp with all the details of yesterday’s title winning performance.

The Red Storm girls have less than two weeks to go until teeing it up in the Class 1A Ridgewood Regional at Valley View Golf Club on October 1st.
