United Girls Golf Team Places 6th at State

What a great weekend for United High School Girls golf! The girls were in 6th place after day one shooting a team score of 354. Meredith Yung led the way with 85 and was followed by Jalyn Wallace with 88, Leighton Trego with 90, Paige Christianson with 91, Emmie Briggs with 95 and Brodi McVeigh with 108. Day two the team shot even better with 351. Round two was led by Paige Christianson with 84, Jalyn Wallace with 87, Meredith Yung with 89, Leighton Trego with 91, Emmie Briggs with 101 and Brodi McVeigh with 108.

The girls finished the State Finals in 6th Place with a two day total of 705. State Champion was Mt Carmel who shot 604.

Individual places for the two days were;

Meredith Yung 174. – 40th place

Page Christianson 175 – 41st place

Jalyn Wallace 175 – 43rd place

Leighton Trego 181 – 59th place

Emmie Briggs 196 – 79th place

Brodi McVeigh 216 – 86th place

Thanks to all those that supported the girls this year and to the school for organizing the sendoff and to the Booster Club for organizing the Welcome Home on short notice.
