With the snow events early in the winter season, constructed halted a little earlier than expected on West Harlem Avenue; however, crews will get right back to it this spring, informs Public Works Director Brayden Bledsoe:
“They still have over half of the job left. There is a lot of work to do in pavement restoration. They will be working on getting a new concrete road from Main to G Street. Then from G Street to just about the bypass, there will be an asphalt road, brand new, coming this year.”
Meanwhile, the City of Monmouth Public Works Department is looking to hire a qualified Water Superintendent, as well as a Meter Reader. For more information, contact City Hall at 309-734-2141.
