A man is accused of shooting a deputy in Peoria over the weekend. Police say Larry Bell ran off during a traffic stop Saturday night in the one-thousand block of South Western Avenue. He then shot a deputy while being chased. The injured deputy was transported to the hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries. Approximately two hours later, officers located Bell inside an abandoned building in the 18-hundred block of West Garden Street. He was treated and released from the hospital and arrested on multiple charges, including attempted murder. Investigators are looking for a female believed to have removed evidence from the scene.
