Monmouth College’s 46th year of the Great Decisions Lecture Series returns this Wednesday, March 25th to campus. Economics Professor in Monmouth College’s School of Business, Saad Bashir, will be presenting on ‘The World Economy:’

“The talk is centered on a couple of topics; tariffs and how tariffs have impacted U.S. trade relationships with the world and what impact it’s had both on the U.S. and on the global economy. Then I was going to focus on what the relationship of the U.S. is to the world economy and how much the world contributes to economic activity and growth in the United States and how that impacts us. In the last couple of weeks, events in the world have overtaken some of the topics I was going to talk about, so I imagine there will be a lot of questions about the price of oil and how that impacts the United States.”

The Great Decisions Lecture Series will begin at 7:30 pm this Wednesday in Room 276 in the Center for Science and Business on the Monmouth College campus, which is free and open to the public.
