CEO Brad Ray to depart after 6 years of successful growth; Dorothy Ricketts appointed to serve as Interim CEO.

Security Savings Bank today announced that Brad Ray has resigned from his position as Chief Executive Officer/President and member of the Board of Directors to pursue new opportunities. The Board of Directors has appointed Dorothy Ricketts as Interim CEO and has initiated a search for a permanent successor.

During Ray’s six-year tenure, Security Savings Bank experienced significant growth in key factors, including profitability, loan balances, return on equity and net interest margin. This growth in turn allowed the bank to increase its support of the local community, a key component of the mutual ownership of the bank.

“It has been an honor to lead Security Savings Bank and work alongside such a dedicated team,” said Ray. “I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together, which allowed Security Savings Bank to improve as a market leader in the communities it serves, and to better prepare to utilize current and future technology to deliver products and services to the customer base. I believe in the strategic direction that has been set, and anticipate the transition to be seamless, ensuring the bank will continue to thrive.”

“The Board of Directors is grateful to Brad Ray for his outstanding leadership, energy, and vision,” said Dan Bowman, Chair of the Board. “He has improved upon the strong foundation of the bank and fostered a capable leadership team that leaves us well-positioned for future success. We wish him the very best in his next chapter.”

Interim CEO Ricketts has more than 40 years of experience at Security Savings Bank and is a member of the Board of Directors.
