Here’s the WMOI/WRAM Athletes of the Week for the week ending April 12th, 2026:

The Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is junior boys track and field athlete, Landon Montroy. Landon swept the shot put and discus events at the two meets last week. He showed his all-around athleticism by getting a first place in the 100 meter dash, as well. Landon also placed 2nd in the shot put event at the highly competitive Lee Calhoun Meet at Western Illinois University.

The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is senior baseball player, Aiden Martin. Aiden was a big part of an important double header sweep against Abingdon-Avon. In the first game against the Tornadoes, he threw a complete game gem, giving up only one earned run with 6 strikeouts. Aiden hit his first homer of the season in the game two victory, going 3-for-6 with 3 rbis in the two games.

The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is freshman girls track and field athlete, Addalyn McSparen. Addalyn’s first varsity track season has gotten off to a great start. She was 2nd in the 400 meter dash at a meet at West Burlington High School. Addalyn ended the week with a 6th place in the 200 meter at the highly competitive Lee Calhoun Meet, finishing a mere 1 second from a 3rd place finish.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is freshman girls soccer player, Haleigh Jezek-Irle. Haleigh continued her great season so far with four more goals in three matches. Her biggest one of the week was the lone, game-winning goal against Metamora. Haleigh has 14 goals for the season and a team-leading eight assists.

The Abingdon-Avon Tornado Athlete of the Week is junior softball player, Myli Webber. Myli put up big numbers in a Lincoln Trail Conference double header at United. In the two games, she went 5-for-7, banging out two triples and scoring an amazing 8 total runs. Earlier in the week, Myli hit her first home run of the season in a loss to Bureau Valley.
