Buchanan Center for the Arts Hides 50 Mushroom-Themed Art Pieces for ‘Game of Shrooms’ Event Across Area Communities

Calling all people who love mushrooms, artwork, and are looking for a fun activity to participate in. June 13th, the Buchanan Center for the Arts is hiding 50 pieces of mushroom themed artwork around Kirkwood, Roseville, Monmouth, Aledo, as well as Galesburg. Rebecca Quick talks more about their “Game of Shrooms” event coming up.


“This weekend is the big weekend. We have the “Game of Shrooms” this weekend, so June 13th, from sunup to sundown, thereabout. I want you guys to check out our Facebook and Instagram sites. We posted a video on how to participate as a seeker in this event. You guys can have a chance to find and keep free artwork made by local artists. We’ll have mushrooms hidden in Kirkwood, Roseville, Monmouth, Aledo, as well as Galesburg. Keep your eyes peeled on our Instagram pages for clues as to where we will be hiding mushroom themed artwork. Then we have several artists from the “Game of Shrooms” classes, as well as Recharge Teen Center is participating in this event as well.”


Mark your calendars for June 13th, “Game of Shrooms” begins. 50 pieces of mushroom themed artwork, made by local artists, will be hidden locally. Make sure to check out the Buchanan Center for the Arts’ Facebook and Instagram pages, where there is a breakdown on how to participant as a seeker posted.
