IDHS reimburses SNAP recipients for food lost during power outages
Did you know that if you receive SNAP and you lost food during the power outage, IDHS will reimburse you for the cost of food lost?

A few rules to keep in mind:
– You only have 10 days after the outage to submit the form
– The power outage must last a minimum of 4 hours
– IDHS can only reimburse you up to the amount of your monthly SNAP benefit amount
