With the $2,100 cap now in place for Medicare Part D prescription costs, Strom Center Director Carol McCrery is encouraging beneficiaries to review their coverage and make sure medications remain fully covered under their plan:

“When you are going on a different medication, if it is not on the formulary, that does not count towards that $2,100. I just caution people, if a doctor puts you on a medication, please give us a call. We can look down the list to see if that medication is going to be covered under your plan. If not, we can give you anything you may want to know to take to your doctor.”

Additionally, McCrery informs the yellow medication forms for individuals to fill out for Medicare Open Enrollment will be available in September at Strom Center, which opens October 15th.
