Don’t miss the fun at the BE YOUR OWN SUPERHERO WELLNESS FAIR at Gladstone, Illinois, at the Henderson County Health Department at 208 West Elm Street on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wear your favorite SUPERHERO tee shirt or costume to this fun family event featuring Bean-A-Paloosa taste testing, free health checks, wellness activities, games, prizes, and free lunch for all ages from birth to 121years old.
The Pink Heals Ambulance will be on site. We all know someone who has passed from cancer, is fighting cancer, or is a cancer survivor. Those people are their own superheroes! Pink Heals Ambulance invites the community to autograph the ambulance in memory of someone who lost their life to cancer, someone fighting cancer, or a survivor of cancer.
Other attractions will include Golden Manes of Valor mini horses, Brian Smith with the Hancock County Emergency Response Vehicle demonstrating drones, Buchanan Center for the Arts hands-on projects, and Regional Office of Education #33 with a variety of fidget gadgets and tools. Some of the free health checks that will be offered are lead testing for children, blood typing, glucose and hemoglobin testing. Education about medical and prescription insurance, smart phones for children and youth, and DIY mental health planners will also be featured. Mr. Scott Kelly, the new Veterans Affairs Liaison for Henderson County, will be present in addition to representatives from a variety of human service agencies. Come join in the fun to learn, move, and connect with many resources that support overall well-being.
