Nutrition and transportation are two of the main topics on the agenda for West Central’s next Board of Education meeting, informs Superintendent Eric Lawson:
“We will have some updates on food and nutrition and we will have some transportation updates as well. I just scheduled a transportation meeting, our bus lease is coming up here in December, so we are trying to make a decision to whether we want to renew our lease or if we are going to consider subcontracting our service to a third party vendor. We are really doing a deep dive on transportation operations to make sure we are as efficient as we possibly can. We are deficit spending on transportation, so we want to make sure we are maximizing our computer software, maximizing our drivers, and their route capabilities as much as we possibly can.”
West Central’s Board of Education meeting is Wednesday, October 21st at 6 pm in the Elementary Cafeteria.
