Monmouth Residents Will See Change in Color of Police Cruisers

Share

The Monmouth Police Department will be receiving two new cruisers for their fleet, and they will be a different color, informs Police Chief Joe Switzer:

“We have white police cars. We are getting two new ones and they are going to be black, so we are changing the colors of our vehicles. When you see a black police car out there it will have white lettering on it, that is ours. That is mainly due to the availability of police cars. The strike last year kind of put a kink in the system and are trying to play catch up. Cars that I ordered a year and a half ago haven’t come in yet and they had black cars available so that is what I grabbed onto.”

Meanwhile, Chief Switzer reports the new stickers for approved golf carts and side by sides in the City of Monmouth are available, which takes effect May 1st.
