We are already past the halfway point of the season for the Monmouth-Roseville Titans softball team.
The Titans sit at 5-11 after a tough stretch last week, falling to Rockridge, Erie-Prophetstown, and Princeton.
Monmouth-Roseville had a couple days off before getting back on the field Tuesday, picking up a 9-6 win thanks to a five-run sixth inning.
The Titans now turn their attention to a busy week ahead with four games on the schedule.
They’ll kick things off tonight with a TRAC West double header at Mercer County, then return home tomorrow for a cross-division game against Spring Valley Hall. We will have the broadcast of this one on WRAM AM 1330 and online at radiomonmouth.com. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30, with the pregame broadcast starting at 4:15.
Monmouth-Roseville will have then have the weekend off before heading back on the road Monday to face Sherrard in another TRAC West contest.
They’ll then wrap up the stretch Tuesday at home, where the Titans will celebrate senior night against Bushnell-Prairie City.
Head Coach Jarrod Hippen says the team will honor two seniors this year.
First pitch for Tuesday’s senior night game is set for 4:30, with festivities beginning at 4 p.m.
