United, A-Town 7th Grade Boys Basketball Teams Win Regional Titles

In 7th grade boys basketball regional championship action on Wednesday night, the United Red and Abingdon-Avon Tornadoes captured class 3A regional titles and will match up on Monday night at Rockridge for a sectional championship and state finals berth.

The United Red Storm, seeded 4th going into the tournament, beat tournament host Rockridge 38-33. United was led in scoring by Collin Leary.

The A-Town Tornadoes beat Mossville 33-28 at the Abingdon-Avon regional.

The sectional championship game will be Monday night at 6:30 at Rockridge High School.
