On July 8, 2023, Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Chad W. John, age 45, and William D. Brooks, age 51, both of Monmouth. John and Brooks were charged with two counts of burglary. This arrest stems from an investigation where an outbuilding was entered near the Alexis area.
Both remain in custody pending a court appearance.
