Mercer County Woman Looking at 12 Years in Prison

Share

The woman found with nearly 200 dogs in her Mercer County home is looking at prison time after a judge found her guilty. A judge yesterday said Karen Plambeck is guilty of animal cruelty. Animal rescuers found 198 dogs in her home in Sherrard back in 2022. She’d been charged with animal cruelty back in 2019, but prosecutors plea-bargained that case down to a misdemeanor. Plambeck is now looking at up to 12 years in prison. She’ll be sentenced in June.
