Damage is being reported following last night’s extreme storms across the state of Illinois. The Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office says at least one confirmed tornado touched down south of Kankakee into Aroma Park. No serious injuries have been reported. Some cars in the west suburbs were damaged by golf-ball-sized hail. There was also heavy rain and hail in parts of Chicago. ComEd says 27-thousand customers were impacted by the storm at its peak, and power has been restored to about 23 thousand so far.
