Keep a look out…it’s property tax time in Warren County, which means tax bills will be arriving through the mail this week. Treasurer and Collector, Danielle Cox, discusses different paying methods you can use to pay your property taxes on the county website, this year.

“They’ll go to “pay-warrencountyil.com.” It’s very simple, you can put your parcel number in there, your name, your address, and your information’s going to pop up. It’s just a user friendly website to make payments. Along with that, you can use your debit card, credit card, eCheck, PayPal, American Express, Venmo, Apple Pay. Unfortunately, there are fees. The online payment fee is 2.48%, plus $1.50 per transaction.”

Residents can pay at their local bank, through the drop box at the Courthouse, or you can pull up and ask for curbside assistance by calling the Warren County Courthouse. Danielle Cox continues to give us stats such as, the total number of tax bills mailed in Warren County is 13,067 and if all property taxes were collected, the total amount would be $44,463,686.74.
