The West Central administration will look a little different next year as current Superintendent Stacey Day will be moving on to become the superintendent at Mercer County School District on July 1st.
The West Central Board of Education just announced they have hired Eric Lawson to serve as the new superintendent, shares Day.
“Eric is coming to us from Eagle Ridge, a small K-8 district right outside the Quad Cities. He’s got a handful of years of experience as a superintendent. He previously worked for the ROE out of Monmouth for a short while, so he’s familiar with the districts in our region as well. I’m excited for him to come in and put fresh eyes on some of the things we’ve been working on. He’ll be able to step right in and do some great things for the district.”
The West Central Board approved a three-year contract with Lawson.
