As the City of Monmouth continues to recover and clean up following the tornado that ripped through on June 17th, the Warren County Courthouse will be undergoing roof repairs, according to Buildings and Grounds Committee Chair Sean Cavanaugh:
“There is a lot of tile that went missing. There are a lot of broken tiles on the ground that got swirled around on the square. Renaissance Roofing is going to be coming by to give us an estimate of what they think it is going to cost to fix. They are the ones that redid the roof about eight years ago. In the meantime, through ServPro, we had a company out of Chicago come down and do a sturdy, temporary fix. The storm really tore the heck out of the roof, blew in one of the judge’s offices, and there was a little damage on the tower of one of the corners.”
Cavanaugh informs the insurance company has already been by the courthouse to assess the storm damage.
