Dillan Vancil gets Republican Congressional Nod

A Warren County man has won the Republican Party nomination for Illinois’ 17^th Congressional District. In Tuesday’s primary election, the unofficial results show Dillan Vancil defeated Julie Bickelhaupt,

With 92 percent of the votes counted, Vancil was declared the winner. Vancil had over 18,000 votes to just over 13,000 votes for Julie Bickelhaupt.

Vancil will now try to unseat the Democratic incumbent Congressman Eric Sorensen this fall in the November General Election.
