Sean Henry Hartshorn, 51, of Galesburg, Illinois, died Monday, May 1, 2023 in Galesburg.

Sean was born October 9, 1971 in Galesburg, the son of James B. and Linda K. (Toops) Hartshorn. Sean graduated from Galesburg High School and had worked at Midwestern Pet Foods in Monmouth, Illinois.

Sean is survived by his parents, Jim and Linda of Galesburg; one son, Jake Hartshorn; and two daughters, Chloe (Dimitri Smith) Hartshorn and Alainna Hartshorn; one grandson, Kai; and one brother, James R. (Diane) Hartshorn.

Sean was dedicated and generous to his friends, often to a fault. He loved music, especially heavy metal and attending concerts. Sean and his dad loved playing fantasy football together. He loved professional sports especially the Dallas Cowboys and St. Louis Cardinals.

Private family services will be held and a public celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com.
