United Board Passes 2023-2024 Budget

Share

The United Board of Education passed a budget for the 2023-2024 academic year, which showed a slight deficit reports Superintendent Jeff Whitsitt:

“We approved a budget, little bit of a deficit on a couple of funds. We are still in the process of paying down some bond money that we did for some life safety projects that we were obligated to do a couple of years ago. This should be our last major year of spending on that and then the budget should get a little bit more level, a little more balanced. We won’t be spending out so much without bringing in that revenue, but a pretty typical budget, looks a lot like the ones we typically pass.”

The United Board also continued discussion on adding more space in their elementary buildings, which will be on the agenda at the October meeting.
